abaco island boa

It grows up to 80 cm long. It feeds on small mammals, birds and lizards. As a member of the rainbow boas (genus Epicrates), it belongs to the family of the true boas (Boidae).

The Abaco Island Boa (Epicrates exsul) or Northern Bahamas Boa, endemic only to Great Abaco Island, Bahamas is a slender, terrestrial, viviparous boa with an iridescent reddish sheen of the scales.
