Its Music To Their Ears
The kids are running around, doorbell is ringing, pots on the stove are boiling over and your house is in complete chaos…and oh ya, the cats are hiding under the beds and the dogs are cowered in a corner.

When your house is falling apart, when you are stressed, your pets world is falling apart too and their stress levels go sky high. They pick up even on quiet stress.

For humans, we know how to relieve our stress, a piece of chocolate or cake, a glass of wine, or nice hot bubble bath, but none of these will work for your pets. We have found out though that cats and dogs respond well to music, classical music.

Dogs will bark less and your cats may even curl up on your speakers while listening to classical music. But, not all classical music works. It must be free of loud sudden high pitches, just soft continuous undertones.

There are several different pet CDs out there that utilize classical music to calm your pet, but one I have found that works great is Music My Pet. This has the same musical performer on it as the Disney Baby Einstein’s.

If you are going to be gone for the day, or your pet’s behavior has changed and you feel like it could be anxiety related, pick up one of the CD’s for them. With the holidays coming up and things being so hectic, this would be a great present for your pet or a friends pet. This is also great for travelling with your pet, whether it’s just to the veterinary office or to the park, Music My Pet will help keep them calm.
