Where Is Morris? |
|
You remember Morris, the worlds most finicky cat. Whatever happened to Morris? Who really is Morris.
Morris, the large red, 15lb tom tabby with green eyes, was rescued from a Humane Society in Chicago in 1968 and became the official mascot for 9Lives. He also appeared in Shamus with Burt Reynolds and is the spokescat for promoting responsible pet ownership and pet adoptions from shelters. He has also authored three books. Morris also appeared on several magazine covers over the years like Cat Fancy. He also received the PATSY (The Picture Animal Top Star Award) and the Cats Meow Award.
Needless to say, there have been several look alike cats over the years that have portrayed Morris, and each has been from a shelter rescue or cat rescue. The current Morris lives in Los Angeles with his handler Rose Ordile.
Morris’s current campaign shows Morris adopting a kitten from a Los Angeles shelter, Lil Mo for the Morris Millions Cat Rescue.
How many of you remember when Morris threw his presidential paw in the ring in 1988 and 1992?
His picture still graces the can of every 9Lives can of cat food. Perhaps his original name, Lucky was a good sign for his future. |

I so rember Morris! I had a kitten that looked alot like him. We even named him Morris! But sad to say he had feline lukima and he passed away as a kitten!

I also remember morris and granted I was little but I always remember how he would be sitting down some where and only get up 4 the taste of 9 lives cat food and I kinda remeber him becomeing a politaical "cat" a date if could have voted then I would have voted morris . but yes I do remember and those were the days 4 pet commuricals that had more that a spokes pet 4 just that
