The Bull Terrier has become known as a very playful dog commonly described a three-year-old child. The Bull Terrier has a very muscular build which makes the breed appear unapproachable, however they are very friendly. Bull Terriers are also very agile, obedient, and excel in competitions and shows. Coloration of the Bull Terrier is usually all white with markings on the head, yet other colors are also possible.

The Bull Terrier became exceedingly popular as sporting dogs in the early 1800s, and in 1860 James Hinks, an English dog dealer, bred a more refined version with an all white coat. Soon this new breed became known as the Bull Terrier, but was initially referred to as White Cavaliers.
