A Cockapoo is a cross between a Poodle and an American Cocker Spaniel or English Cocker Spaniel. This unique breed has been known in America since the 1950s and the earliest known reference was around 1960.

The Cockapoo has become increasingly popular in other countries. Australians call them Spoodles, and Swedes call them Cockerpoo. Cockapoos are very outgoing, loving, intelligent, and agile dogs that don't shed very much at all. They are very people oriented and have become a popular choice for families.
