8/6/2009 : Life Here Is A Real Challenge
On July 24, Mom took me to the vet for some surgery. I was neutered, micro-chipped and had my cherry eye fixed. I had to be quiet for at least 7 days so I spent a lot of time in my crate that I picked out myself. Mom bought me a big stuffed rooster that we named Red for being a good boy. This week, I've been able to be out of my crate more, but I still have this yucky Elizabethan collar on and I keep running into everything with it. My eye is looking better so Mom hopes we can take it off soon. It's kind of hard for me to eat certain foods; Mom doesn't want to give me my canned food because she's afraid I'll mess up my collar. She made me some new cookies yesterday that have a piece of string cheese on top. They taste pretty good! Since Boss was at daycare today, Mom took me out on the deck with my bed and a chewie for about an hour. I usually get extra attention when Boss is gone. That's my time to do something special. Gotta go check on what Nimbus is doing. She sat by me in my bed yesterday. Maybe we can be friends after all. It's just so hard not to chase after her.
