11/6/2009 : I am sad

Everyone in my house seems to be sad over what happened at Fort hood yesterday. Since this is a house with a lot of military past and present. It is scary how fast we can lose our lives. God never promises us tomorrow.. Even more so Dangers to our military can even happen at home where you think you are safe. Please everyone keep all those who lost there lives, there family's, Friends and loved ones in prayer.. That god will bless them all and America.. XOXOX Moses and Family

Yes indeed, its so unfair and senseless for them to have died on American soil, let alone anywhere else. Prayers from Cinder, Amber, Merlot, and Mommy

We whole-heartedly agree that this was senseless and sad. How much more stress do our vets need?

Hi Moses: Just a short note, mom just wrote you a longer one in answer to your blog.
Tim was supposed to come today to fix the electricity but it is almost evening and he still has not been here or called. Mom goes through the house very gingerly because of all of the extension cords and when I go outside at night she comes with me with a flash light so I don't fall into that big water filled hole in the ground.
Be woofing at you again

Hi Moses:
Mom and I feel so bad about the killing at Ft. Hood. We feel for their families. When I read that it was an officer and he was a psychiatrist, it just blew my mind. I know that the armed forces are desperate for bodies to fill their quotas but a better background check is needed as well as a periodic psych. check especially after our kids come home from Iraq and/or Afghanistan. Just think how many of them have been sent over 3 or 4 or more times. There have also been service people killed by their fellow soldiers, some just snap and can't handle what they are going through. Another factor is the VA hospitals are overcrowded, lack of help due to mandatory personnel cuts and the critical shortage of qualified doctors.. Mom said she is getting off of her soap box now.
Our hearts and prayers go to not only those that were killed and wounded at Ft. Hood but to ALL service people. May those that have made the supreme sacrifice R.I.P. and may God bless them.

How true, Moses. It was a sad day across America when our service men and women are in danger on their own country's soil. I second Izzy, God Bless them all and their families.

Hi Moses. It's just awful about what happened. You just don't expect that here in America. We will keep all of them in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless them all.

This was so sad - it was on the same day that 6 British soldiers were killed in Afghanistan and 5 seriously injured when the a person in the Afghanistan Police (who the British are training up to help them protect their own country!!) shot them all and he then escaped!! He was a rogue policeman that had infiltrated the force. These cases were both done by people that the persons who were killed and injured trusted?? It beggars belief. I'm with you in being sad about these all the way pal. TC
