weimaraner

The Weimaraner is known as the "Grey Ghost" because of the unique grey color of its sleek coat and is an extremely graceful and regal dog. The Weimaraner has been bred for great speed, scenting ability, and intelligence.

The Weimaraner originally was called the Weimer Pointer and was a product of German breeding where it came from the stocks of other hunting breeds. Believe to be descended from the Bloodhound, the Weimaraner was first used to hunt game including bears, deer, and wolves. Over time however, the Weimaraner has become adept as a hunting companion and bird hunter.
